Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how MoveOutGuard collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address and name when you sign up.
• Packet information: property addresses, tenant names, deposit amounts, dates, and notes you enter.
• Evidence files: photos, receipts, and documents you upload.
• Risk check submissions: the answers you provide, and your email if you choose to share it.
• Billing information: card details are handled by a third-party payment processor; we store packet unlock status and processor references, never card numbers.

How we use it

• To provide the Service: organizing evidence and generating draft documents.
• To process evidence with third-party AI infrastructure providers — solely to extract receipt data, summarize photo conditions, compare move-in/move-out photos, and draft documents you request. Only the data required for that specific operation (e.g. the image being analyzed, or the packet details needed to draft a letter) is sent; AI providers are not used for marketing and do not receive your account credentials.
• To manage packet-specific unlocks after verified payment events.
• To respond to support requests.

Storage and security

• Evidence files are stored in a private storage bucket scoped to your account.
• Row-level security ensures users can only access their own records.
• File previews use short-lived signed URLs; files are never publicly listed.
• API keys and service credentials are kept server-side only.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not send anything to your tenants.
• We do not use your evidence files to market to third parties.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete packets — including their uploaded files — from within the app. When you delete a packet, its files are removed from storage. You may also request full account deletion at any time.
