Common questions
- Is this legal advice?
- No. MoveOutGuard is a document preparation and evidence organization tool. Every deduction requires your review and approval, and the letter is a draft for you to check before sending. For legal questions, consult a licensed attorney.
- Which states are supported?
- California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and Michigan have full state-specific checklists and deadline estimates today. More are on the way.
- What happens to my photos and receipts?
- They're stored in a private vault scoped to your account, accessible only to you through short-lived signed links. You can delete any packet or your whole account at any time, and the files are removed from storage.
- The AI got something wrong. What do I do?
- Reject or edit the item in the Review tab; rejected items never appear in your letter. AI suggestions are drafts, and your values always win. If something looks systematically wrong, please tell us.
- How do payments work?
- MoveOutGuard Complete Packet is $29 one-time for one complete move-out packet. A new property/tenant move-out requires a separate unlock. No subscription. No recurring charge. Payment is confirmed by a verified webhook before final letter and PDF access is unlocked.
